Hertha Lund has more than 19 years experience working on agriculture, natural resource, and environmental policy issues at the State and Federal levels. She has practiced law for more than 16 years and represents property owners in matters involving property rights, water rights, and wind energy development. Ms. Lund has argued before the Ninth Circuit and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, various Federal Circuit Courts, and the District Courts in Montana, and she served as Law Clerk to Chief Judge Loren A. Smith at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. She received her Juris Doctor Degree at the University of Montana School of Law, where she was Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Montana Law Review. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Temple University with a minor in Business Communications and studied Animal Science, Range Management, and Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Montana State University. She has served on non-profit boards and is actively involved in the leadership of her church.
