Mr. Nichols is an attorney in private practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received his B.A. degree from Syracuse University and his J.D. from the University of Tulsa. He also serves as a professor for the University of Tulsa, College of Law, and has presented more that 300 real estate seminars for a number of professional groups.
Through over 30 years experience in real estate fraud, real estate brokerage, land use, and eminent domain litigation, he has been involved in approximately 500 condemnation cases which have resulted in substantial judgments collected for the landowners he has represented. Mr. Nichols' efforts have resulted in three of the largest judgments in the State of Oklahoma being awarded to his eminent domain clients.
Mr. Nichols has acted as lead counsel in over 60 jury trials regarding real estate-related matters; as the Attorney of Record in over 100 zoning applications before various Planning Commissions and Boards of Adjustment; and as Legal Counsel to the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors (GTAR) in over 100 professional standards (ethics) and arbitration hearings since 1975. He has been a member of the Tulsa County Bar since 1975 and has served as a Tulsa County Delegate to the Oklahoma Bar Association on several occasions and as a Tulsa County Law Library Trustee. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Real Estate Section, the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association, and the America Bar Association.
