Mark V. Meierhenry maintains an active statewide civil litigation practice, specializing in eminent domain, property rights and catastrophic injuries. Prior to reentering private practice in 1987, Mark served as Attorney General of South Dakota from 1978 to 1986.
Mark has tried over 250 cases, criminal and civil, in South Dakota's state and federal courts, including 20 eminent domain and inverse condemnation cases. He has argued 8 cases before the United States Supreme Court and dozens of cases before the South Dakota Supreme Court, including 12 dealing with eminent domain issues.
Mark's litigation team includes his partner, Clint Sargent, who joined the firm in 1998 and has tried over 40 jury trials in state and federal court.
