John Kevin Walsh concentrates his practice in the area of litigation with emphasis on eminent domain, real property and land use trial practice. He has represented property owners and governmental authorities in eminent domain proceedings to acquire private property. He has represented municipalities concerning annexations of properties and land use issues and has tried a number of jury and non-jury cases in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Walsh has lectured on eminent domain issues on a number of occasions, the most recent including the Condemnation 101 - Making the Complex Simple in Eminent Domain sponsored by the American Law Institute - American Bar Association in February 2011 and the Tennessee Land Law for Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors Seminar in January 2008. He is a member of the Memphis, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is also the Tennessee member of the Owners' Counsel of America, a national association of leading eminent domain attorneys across the United States.
