About OCA

The number of lawyers who have gained expertise in the area of eminent domain and property rights law is limited when compared to other areas of law. Finding an experienced eminent domain trial lawyer who consistently represents owners can be difficult.

Owners' Counsel of America is an organization which has sought to bring together the most experienced eminent domain trial lawyers in the country; to use the combined know-how as a resource to one another in the defense of private property ownership; and to make that opportunity available and effective to property owners throughout the country.

Our members are the lawyers involved in landmark eminent domain cases standing at the forefront of property rights issues. They are the authors, lecturers, teachers and speakers on eminent domain issues you will find around the country today. Eminent domain, condemnation, property rights, and just compensation are the areas they know well.

OCA is a non-profit organization sustained solely by its members which serves as a resource to its members in the form of a national eminent domain 'think tank", and as a platform for exchange of data, strategies and legal remedies.
